Darrel Vecchio is presenting a CEO Perspective

A few takeaway points that could help you…

The journey will take us through foreign lands where the natives speak in tongue a strange language called acronyms. The first tribe was called VOCED Learning Conference 2010 where the teacher natives went around chanting DET, NCVER, AQF, Cert IV and XO don’t know (I think that was Egyptian).

The Voyage of Discovery journey darkens in 2011 after three audits (all clean), then on the horizon a monolith appears, gobbling up the dodgy RTOs – named Spirit of ASQA; then soon after a plague appeared where the Compliance Chiefs were heard screaming “there’s new standards & regulations – big fines, we are going to die”.

The “Case Study” story to continue the day…….

  • The difference between education and training versus the learning experience
  • Use your CEO autopilot experience and combat the daily events
  • Doing “the Diploma” after you learn the role
  • Adopt your learners for life with real life experiences
  • A continuous improvement is a daily event (a daily to do )
  • Having an “it’s never perfect attitude” – how can we improve it?
