The Test and Tag course has a mixture of E-Learning/Online theory and one day of practical training, on a wide range of composite equipment including portable/plugged in electrical equipment, RCD residual current devices testing and electrical cord assemblies. The conduct in-service safety testing of electrical cord assemblies and cord connected equipment course is an introduction to electrical safety and theories and the base units for all restricted electrical training.
Who can do it?
Those looking to learn how to test and tag appliances, electrical cord assemblies, tools and RCD devices around their home and for industry and your work place.
All attendees must have basic level 3 numeracy and literacy skills. The conduct in-service safety testing of electrical cord assemblies and cord connected equipment course is open those who would like to check; test and tag electrical cord assemblies or cord connected appliance
E-learning (complete online between 3-4 hrs) followed by one day of practical training and assessment complete on site at Bizmatrix Training Centre.
Available all year, applications and registrations accepted any time.
All books and practical training materials are included in the course fees.
Upon successful completion students will receive a State of Attainment for the above units which is Nationally Recognised.
Students will receive a Bizmatrix test and tag card to show onsite.

Students who opt to complete Option 1 may complete CPR/LVR training at a discounted price, usually $120 prior to or after completing practical training session.
Session 1: 8:00am – 12:00pm CPR/LVR Training (Cost: $90)
Session 2: 13:00pm – 17:00pm CPR/LVR Training (Cost: $90)
Upon successful completion of above units, students are issued with a Nationally Recognised CPR/LVR Certificate.
IMPORTANT: Please note that as per QLD law, if you wish to provide professional appliance testing services to other organisations, you require a full contractors license or restricted contractors license. Through obtaining a test and tag competency, this only allows an individual to test appliances in-house/owned by their employer. You are also unable to complete restricted electrical work with this competency, if you wish to do restricted electrical work, please see here for more information about obtaining a restricted electrical licence.
