With all the hype about global warming, carbon emissions there seems to be some confusion is to why gas is better than electricity. Having just paid a big bundle for my power bill. I definitely know why electricity is not a good option. If they leave the reserves in the ground, and tap into the gas pockets, then we will have a good supply of natural gas. They can use the natural gas for generating power. The other option is to make methane from our waste products, or tap into the old rubbish dumps to extract the methane. We are working with a food company and the Queensland University on a project to recover methane form the waste foods, produced by the food company. The methane needs to be scrubbed to remove the corrosives from the gas. The methane is then used to produce hot water with a Bosch 32- with condenser, the added savings in this case, the food manufacturer saves $100,000 in grease trap charges from the local council.

Here we have a win , win a win for the environment and a financial win for the company.

So when you think about the future, one day we could all be generating our own energy from , water, waste, wind and light? It is sad, as every one of these items can happen now.
